The Harley-Davidson X-750 & The Legendary Flat-Track Racer That Dominated AMA History
11th October 2020

Just to make us all wish we could be in the crowd, the dust, and the methanol fumes at an AMA Grand National race. This is the Harley-Davidson XR-750, which is widely considered to be the most successful race bike in motorcycle racing history.
The XR has 502 race wins, and 37 Grand National Championships in AMA flat-track and various versions raced from 1970 until 2015. No brakes (except on Evel's jump bike), 140mph (225kph) on the dirt tracks, and at the 7,700rpm limit they no longer pulse like other Harleys, these things HOWL!
This kind of history gets our blood pumping here at Road and Sport, it's why we have the Harley-Davidson lifestyle in our veins.
